Uncle Joe's Diner
Uncle Joe's Diner is a project imagined as a creative exercise around a fictional brief: to design the interface for a monthly box service inspired by vintage US diner culture. This is the Figma design for the landing page, desktop format.
Objective
Design an immersive and engaging interface for a monthly box service inspired by US diners, whose aim is tonaturally encourage subscription through a fluid, structured and visually striking experience.
Steps
1. Visual benchmark around the universe of American diners, vintage menus and existing monthly boxes.
2.Definition of graphic identity: palette, typography, iconographic style.
3.Design of wireframes with a hierarchy thought out for conversion.
4.Final design with an immersive visual universe, structuring of components and integration into Figma.
5.File preparation for future no-code operation or development.
Creative Process
1. Conversion-oriented brief: from the outset, the subscription model was central. Each screen was designed to guide the user towards subscription, with a fluid narrative, highlighted benefits, and a simplified tunnel.
2. US vintage & food boxes inspiration watch: analysis of iconic brands (from diners to monthly SnackCrate-type boxes) to combine retro visual impact with modern UX efficiency. The aim: to convey a strong collective imagination while remaining clear and engaging.
3. Emotional & structured design: construction of a coherent, warm, almost cinematic visual universe. The immersive style reinforces attachment to the brand without compromising legibility. The experience is intuitive, accessible and engaging.
4. Dynamic Figma prototyping: the design has been thought through with auto-layouts, components and global styles, enabling a variety of subscription scenarios. The modular approach facilitates future evolution of the project or rapid no-code integration.
5. Optimization of the subscription experience: tests on the visual hierarchy, help texts and CTAs to encourage action without pressure. The tunnel guides the user step by step, in a consistent and reassuring atmosphere.
Results
- A strong, immersive and engaging design that immediately grabs attention.
- A structured home page to encourage conversion from the very first scroll.
- A system of reusable Figma components, facilitating future multi-channel or responsive applications.
